Do I need a computer, or one of those apps?
No. Any phone you already have, even a landline. The story line calls you at a time you choose, or you call it. If you can answer a telephone, you can do all of this.
What if I stumble on a word or lose my place?
Just read the line again and keep going, the way you would with a grandchild on your lap. We tidy everything up afterward. There is no way to ruin it, and no one hears the rough takes but us.
What does the family actually get?
A finished audiobook of your reading: your real voice made clear and warm, with chapters and your grandchild’s name on the cover, in a private library the family keeps forever. It plays in the car, on bedtime speakers, anywhere the kids already listen.
What stories can I read?
Your own stories, family memories, the classics you grew up with, anything your family has the right to record. The parents can also request favorites: “Maya wants the one about the bear again.”
What happens after I give it?
We write to you within a day and set up the line together with the parents. Most readers record their first story the same week. If the first recording never happens, every penny comes back.
